February 16, 2015: Adam Scott and his wife, Marie Kojzar have turned parents. The former world No.1 was blessed with a baby girl, born on Sunday in Australia. News agencies have reported that the girl has been named Bo Vera Scott. The Aussie golfer married last year in a ceremony that remained largely private to his closest people, just after the Masters in April last season.

Scott has been out of action since the Australian PGA Championship in December last year. The Aussie has been spending time at home to be with his wife in the weeks leading to the birth of their first child.

It is expected that Scott might return to action either at The Honda Classic or the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship a little later. The WGC at Doral seems the most likely event though, since it is set for the first week of March.

The news was broken by Scott’s manager in a curt two line statement issued to the press. Bo Vera was born in Queensland yesterday and it is understood that both mother and child are hale and hearty.
