Sep 25, 2016:  Back from injury, Anirban Lahiri found a high level of consistency for a creditable 24th place finish in the Porsche European Open. Anirban shot a final round 67 to add to a pair of 68s from the earlier rounds to climb nine spots on Sunday. Anirban will have gained a lot of confidence this week from his effort which yielded him a 10-under total of 203. The Porsche Open was reduced to three rounds due to inclement weather this week. Alexander Levy pipped Ross Fisher in a tense two hole playoff to win the European Open in a thrilling finish.

Anirban took a few weeks off to nurse his shoulder after the Olympics in Rio. In the final round today, Anirban shot 5 birdies and an eagle at the par five 10th hole.

Levy and Fisher finished tied at 19-under, three shots ahead of Robert Karlsson and Michael Jonzon. The playoff was on the 18th hole – both men made par in the first instance, but Levy came back with a birdie on the second attempt while Fisher could only manage par.
