CHINA DIARIES BY VANI KAPOOR

China diaries. They were something and full of experiences and so in my own little way I am going to share those moments with you. It was enriching, interesting and most of all a lot of fun. It took me out of my comfort zone and put me at the centre of some great talent. That can only be a good thing for both me and my golf. This was my first LET tournament the Sanya Ladies Golf Tournament and clearly one of my best experiences. The idea of travelling is like second skin to golfers and I love travelling! Out first stop was Yalong Bay Resort. The beach view was stunning and the sunset was spectacular.

I wish I had a camera in my eye and could capture all the beautiful moments like the layout of the golf club, the area was so calm and peaceful with extremely sweet people. I would want to capture all those sunsets, all of us diving into the sea at 11 in the night and all these will be wonderful memories which I always cherish. I have come back with a lot of memories. The other Indians with me were Neha Tripathi, Saaniya Sharma, Ankita Tiwana and Smriti Mehra all of who had a stellar time.

We just soaked in the sun, the sand and the great weather. A lot of the time went in group selfies but how can you not when you are a bunch of golfing girls! We just spent the last evening on the beach as I said it’s difficult to take time out during a tournament. We say chit chatted, danced on Indian music. It’s was so clam and peaceful. Did some crazy little stupid things like Neha and I made a huge castle!

I din’t play well but I have brought a lot of experience and knowledge about my game. It’s given me a whole new perspective and made my goals even more clear. My accuracy is very good but I need a bit more length to gain advantage. Thats what I need to work on more. I have gained distance but more need works needs to be done. Playing more abroad, new courses will give me more confidence and experience which will only help me in the near future.

Besides golf one thing that I would always cherish for life would be that all of us on the last day jumped into the ocean . One of the craziest things I have done.
