My father and I wanted to do an adventure activity together and so we chose scuba diving. We decided to get out diving licence last year and this year we decided to keep our learning going and got our advanced diving licence as well.

It all began when we did our initial diving course in Pondicherry. This passion became addictive and then we followed it up with our advanced training from SriLanka.

Golf and scuba diving but in reality they compliment each other

IT’S A NEW LEASE OF LIFE

Diving teaches me that there is so much more to life than what we experience in our daily lives. Being under water, I saw a different dimension of this world giving me a whole new perspective to what all is out there that I haven’t experienced yet.

The experience was so mesmerising that words cant describe the world I saw down there 30 feet deep in the Indian ocean. You are at peace with the ocean, with the environment, with your own world.

MY DREAM SPOTS

My dream diving spot would be in the Maldives because everyone I have been in contact with tells me that that place is a whole another experience for a scuba diver and is a must.

GOLF AND SCUBA DIVING

People would not explicitly see any commonality between golf and scuba diving but in reality they compliment each other. Controlling my breathing was one of the hardest things to do while learning to scuba dive and I think once I got it down I was able to apply it to my golf game using the control I learnt breathing under water to calming my nerves under pressure on the golf course.

SCUBA DIVING IN INDIA

India’s diving scene is not very big but the best place I would recommend is the is Lakshwadeep islands. Just for diving it is probably the best option in india. The water is crystal clear with lots of amazing aquatic life to be seen.

JEWELS OF THE SEA

Well while I was under water we saw a moray eel. And as dangerous as that was – as long as you don’t disturb things in their natural habitat they don’t bother you. We even had a close encounter with a lion fish but same principle applies to all creatures. The first thing they taught us was that we must act as the guest under water and not bother the fish in order for a pleasant and fulfilling experience.
