February 4, 2014: As Tiger Woods walked into the historic Delhi Golf Club premises this morning, it was visual treat to many and a dream comes true for others.

Dressed in a blue tee shirt, black trousers and  a white cap, Tiger started with a straight shot down the middle, while his second shot landed on the green. World No. 1 missed an eagle putt but birdied the par 5 hole. In the second hole, Tiger landed a shot just four feet away from the pin to miss it by a whisker.

World’s richest golfer ended his DGC Trip with token of love and appreciation for Club’s junior and caddy golf program.

“What a treat- fabulous just wonderful – 3 lakh charity to DGC junior program and 3 lakh to DGC caddy welfare trust. Tiger was in his elements and played to a wonderful spectatorship of at least 6 to 8 thousand. This is great for India and the game, “reacted Champika Sayal, Secy General of Women’s Golf Association of India over Tiger’s gesture.

Tiger has come to India as a special invitee of Pawan Munjal of Hero Moto Corp. Munjal is a known golf supporter and player.

Before Tiger started with his lucrative exhibition round, TV presenter Alan Wilkins asked the golfer if he was nervous, and he smilingly told him: “Ya, I am nervous.”

The President of Indian Indian Golf Union, meanwhile, presented Tiger with a memento as a token for his first visit to India.

More than 2000 people were present at the golf course to get a glimpse of the World No. 1 golfer. Cricketers Madal Lal and Murali Karthik were also among the invitees. World Sport Group has negotiated with Tiger’s management to arrange for his visit to India.
