MY CLUBS
I use Cleveland 588 T irons. I like the feel of the club, primarily. They are lighter shafts with regular flex, so they are a little easier on the elbow, since I had an elbow injury earlier in the year. They are thinner blades than the taylormades I was using earlier, which helps in increasing the accuracy of my ball striking. The clubs are also 3 degrees flatter to help me get a better launch angle. The irons give a very good carry, and have limit the movement on the ball.

MY DRIVER
I use a rocket fuel, 10.5 degree driver, with an iomic shaft. I use this driver because it never misses the fairway. I have never hit straighter drives than with this club. Straighter drives ff the tee, ensure lesser pressure on the iron shots. Also, the launch angle of this club is something that I’ve always been comfortable with, hence, the 10.5 degree loft.

BALL
I prefer a Titleist pro V1, because it gives me a lot of spin control. The ball reacts really well especially on flop shots, where you want your ball to check asap. The ball reacts the way I want it to, so it’s easier to attack pins that are tucked away, and are difficult to get to.

GRIP IT
My favorite Golf accessory is funky grip colors! I think they make your irons look so much more colourful. Plain black grips are boring, and everyone uses them. Colourful grips help you stand out, and I’m all for being different haha 😉

MY FAVOURITE SHOT
A shot from 30-50 yards from the pin, is a shot that I can play/practice all day long. It is by far the most exciting shot for me. To see the ball rise in the air, fall, and stop just inches from the hole, gives me a rush. This is a shot that I can visualise really well, and execute it as close to it as possible.

ADVISE TO UPCOMING WOMEN GOLFERS

  •  Lighter clubs for people starting out, is a wise choice.
  • A club with higher launch angle is better, since as a newbie, you want to see the ball rise in the air with minimum effort.
  • Don’t go by brands. Chose clubs that are cheaper, just to start out. Depending on your seriousness in the sport, you can later look into brands and club-fitting.
  • No matter what people say, keep your comfort first. If you’re not comfortable with a club, don’t buy it coz at the end of the day, YOU have to hit the shot.
  • Always buy clubs from a reliable source. These days where club falsifying is rather easy, one has to be extra careful. If you’re paying the entire amount of money for a brand, you are entitled for the genuine make.
