November 4, 2013. The INDIA GOLF AWARDS is set to open a new chapter in women’s golf in India. The event makes a pioneering effort in supporting the talented and dedicated women golfers through recognition and awards. For the first time a special jury led by the legendary Gary Player sat with the key people in the sport fraternity to select the best in India women’s golf.

 

People’s Choice Award would be given to highest voted golfer by golf enthusiasts on www.golfingindian.com. The polling for this stopped on Monday 12 noon. Bangalore’s Sharmila Nicollet, Pune’s Shweta Galande, Delhi’s Vani Kapoor and Ankita Tiwana are the four choices for people to pick.

 

An eminent panel of jury will select the ‘Best Female Professional’ golfer of the country. The choice will be based on their talent and professional performance in the national as well as International circuit.

 

There is a long list for the choice of ‘Best Upcoming Women Professional’ award. This award is aimed to encourage the potential talents who have zeal to make it big in women golfing circuit.

 

Women sport is always associated with glamour involved with it. Women in golf too love to look good and keep fit and hog media attention. Therefore, to make the event more exciting is the choice for ‘Best Dressed Golfer’ is included as well.
