Feb 4, 2014. A proud moment for India as Anirban Lahiri, Shiv Kapur beat the team of Pawan Munjal and Tiger Woods to win the skins tournament during Tiger’s maiden visit to India at the Delhi Golf Course. India’s rising golf stars who have both played on the European and Asian Tours, Anirban and Shiv had a birdie on the 17th to grab the title. The funds raised through the skins match will be submitted towards golf charities under the Delhi Golf Club.

Nonita Lall, one of the senior most golf pros at the Delhi Golf Club said, “Tiger played phenomenal golf with 10 birdies and one bogey.”

Woods teed off on amid much fanfare during an exhibition match at a rather hushed-up private event here at the Delhi Golf Club.

Dressed in a blue tee-shirt, black trousers and white cap, Tiger started off with a wonderful shot straight down the middle, while his second shot landed on the green. World No. 1 missed an eagle putt but birdied the par 5 hole. In the second hole, Tiger landed a shot just four feet away from the pin to miss it by a whisker.

Before Tiger started off with his lucrative exhibition round, TV presenter Alan Wilkins asked the veteran golfer if he was nervous, and he joked: “Ya, I am nervous.”
