Shlok Singh wins Noida JGT event

Shlok Singh clinched the Category A title for boys at the Noida Junior Golf Tour event last Sunday.

October 21, 2014: The Unitech Golf & Country Club in Noida became the epicentre of activity for young golfers and their parents even as the children strutted their stuff at the 29th Lufthansa Junior Golf Tour In Association with Callaway Golf. The junior tour event came to an end this past Sunday, with the winners being awarded prizes.

 

Shlok Singh defeated Shabad Sobti by just one point to clinch the title in the Category A for Boys. Singh scored 29 points, to 28 for his opponent to clinch a thrilling contest between the two boys.

 

The Category B event was just as pulsating if not more. Shobhit Gupta and Ishit Mehta were locked at 30 points each, with Gupta being declared winner on count back.

 

In the girls Category A+B event, an equally close contest was won by Tarinni Sameek Kakar. She pipped Samika Sharma to the post by just one point. The winner scored 23 points to 22 by Sharma to take the title.

 

Lufthansa and Callaway Golf have been at the forefront in promoting golf and the Junior Tour promises to supply a steady stream of quality golfers to an ever growing Indian golf fraternity.

Winner – Jhujhar Singh with 21 points

Runner up – Keshav Bagrodia 15 points (runner up on count back)

Second Runner up – Aaditya Rajguru with 15 points
