Nov 3, 2013. India is all set to launch its first golf awards powered by www.golfingindian.com and supported by most of India’s top golf patrons on November 5 in Gurgaon. The TAKE Solutions INDIA GOLF AWARDS are a first and unique initiative because they recognise and award golfers not just from the professional categories but also from the golf business community, celebrities and bureaucrats who play the game. There are special prizes for women, best golf courses, academies and even golf real estate.
The big names in the golf fraternity are associated with the first Take Solutions INDIA GOLF AWARDS. The legendary Gary Player flagged off the jury while India’s biggest golfer Jeev Milkha Singh has come out to support the awards. “I think these awards are a fantastic idea. I am convinced this is going to be a success with all the top people in the golf fraternity coming together. It will help the game being promoted in the country,” said Jeev.
Shiv Kapur, the Indian who led from the front at this year’s British Open will also be attending the awards along with Anirban Lahiri, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Rashid Khan. “I am very impressed with www.golfingindian.com, we need such initiatives in the country to promote the game and bring the community together,” said Bhullar, India’s highest ranked golfer in Official world golf rankings at the moment.
India’s key golfing face in the United States Arjun Atwal who returns to the Indian Open this year will also attend the award function. Atwal is the first player born in India to become a member of, and later win a tournament on the U.S. based PGA Tour will also be part of this spectacular evening.
