Sep 5, 2016: Romance is still in the air for Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods. The ace skier admitted just as much, saying that “I still love him.” The tabloid press is going gaga over the possible rekindling of an affair that consumed several thousand column inches across the world, in the three years they were together.
The pair split and walked their own ways, more than a year ago after the distance and travel got to them. But the couple seemed to have remained on good terms.
It appears now that there is a likely reunion, given the more than amicable feelings between the two stars. “I am still on good terms with Woods, I loved him so much, and I still do. It just didn’t work”, said Vonn.
But it could all just be conjecture too. The press have been running tales about Vonn’s rumoured liaisons with the Vikings star Alexander Ludwig and Keenan Smith, the assistant head coach for the Rams. Vonn has repeatedly sought to play down the rumours, insisting that these were merely “friends.”
“It’s nice to put the priority back on myself and just do what I need to do,” Vonn told a television show.
Vonn appeared to have clearly gained the trust of Woods over their three year relationship. She was also seen with Elin Nordegren, Woods’ estranged wife at the Kentucky Derby. There have been many things that surfaced in the media about the reasons for the split, ranging from the disloyalty of Tiger to their mutually exclusive and busy schedules.
“I mean, we spent a lot of time together, I was with Tiger for three years,” Vonn said in May, speaking about Nordegren. “She’s such a wonderful person, such a great mom to the kids and yeah, it was great to catch up with her and see her over that weekend and we had a great time.”
