Feb 4, 2014. Tiger Woods’ power packed India visit will be led by his game at the Delhi Golf Club. Since his arrival on Feb 3, Woods’ is keeping up with sponsor commitments. Staying at the Presidential Suite at the Maurya Sheraton in the national capital, Woods’ has had a bevy of visitors. He arrived an hour late, attended commitments by a real estate giant and met up with Sachin Tendulkar who was in the hotel at the same time. Tendulkar has taken to golf of late. Here is a list of his schedule on the India trip.

 

  • Tiger Woods will play 14-15 holes of golf at the historic Delhi Golf Club, Lodhi Course

 

  • He will play a few shots on the practise putting green adjoining the annexe of the club house

 

  • Tiger will tee off with Pawan Munjal, MD of the Hero Moto group who have sponsored his India visit and play a few holes with him before moving on to other groups

 

  • Munjal has invited a select list of guests that include players Shiv Kapur, Anirban Lahiri and Sharmila Nicollet. Among corporate friends, Rajiv Singh Vice Chairman of DLF will be playing this special event along with media honchos Aveek Sarkar and Prannoy Roy. The select gathering will be playing golf, getting tips and discussing the game with Tiger.

 

  • At the 16,17,18th holes there will be a skins match between Kapur and Lahiri in one team and Munjal and Woods in the other. The funds raised will be submitted to the charity that promotes junior golf at the Delhi Golf Club.

 

  • Woods will proceed from Delhi Golf Club to a lunch at the Oberoi Hotel and follow that up with an afternoon break after which he will head to a special gathering organised by Munjal for his friends where Tiger and Munjal will engage in a special chat with the guests
