The Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC) in Mumbai is among the most demanding (championship) courses in India. BPGC is a morale breaker and is among the best we have in the country today . Although short by modern standards, it is an unforgiving golf course abounding in pitfalls too numerous to describe.

Golf Tours The eighteen-hole, par 70 course yardge 62/5463, spread over an expanse of 90-acre, was founded in 1927 and was redesigned to international standards by the legendary five-time British Open champion Peter Thompson. Presidency’s fairways are narrow and tight, but its greens are undoubtedly the best in the country. The real test is, however, the variable and shifting sea breeze, which could fox even the most experienced player. It is not a difficult course. It’s not too long, not too narrow, and yet not an easy course to break par. THE CHALLENGER The fifteenth-hole is one of the most challenging . A 480 yard, par 5, a dog leg to the right, with a fairway trap strategically placed to catch the long hitter trying to cut the corner.
