Madrid

Madrid is just a perfect place for both, golfing and shopping. In and around the city, there are several top quality golf courses with excellent facilities

One of the best known is Club La Moraleja, with four 18-hole courses, two of them designed by Jack Nicklaus and the other two by Nicklaus Design. This Madrid club has hosted international competitions such as the Spanish Open, the Madrid Open and the World Cup. As its name suggests, it is located in the chic suburb of La Moraleja, in the northern Madrid. Best known as Madrid’s Beverly Hills, it hosts Spain’s rich and famous people and was the one-time neighbourhood of the Beckhams. Before going practice your swing, there’s time to explore the exclusive La Moraleja Green, a shopping village dedicated to fashion from the best Spanish and international brands such as Scalpers, Bimba & Lola or Tous.

Some of the best golf courses in Madrid are Golf Santander, Real Sociedad Española Hípica Club de Campo (San Sebastián de los Reyes), Club de Campo Villa de Madrid (Madrid centre), El Encín Golf (Alcalá de Henares) or Real Club de Golf La Herrería (El Escorial).

No matter which one you choose, Madrid has numerous shops and shopping centres to entice visitors of all ages out on a shopping trip and many of them, both in the centre and in the suburban areas, are open all day. Don’t miss the opportunity to check Official Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid Stores. Cause we know you love golf, but football is a not-to-miss thing to experience in Spain.

Barcelona

Barcelona is one of Europe’s great cosmopolitan cities, a great base for any golfer wishing to sample the delights of the Catalan capital. Amazing golf courses can be found throughout the city and its surroundings. Some of them are Metropolitan Golf Club, Real Club de Golf El Prat, Barcelona Golf Club, Llavaneres Golf Club, Sitges Terramar Golf Club or Sant Cugat Golf Club.

Just like Madrid, Barcelona is an ideal place for shopping. However, Barceolona is a more exclusive and bohemian fashion.

Whose main axis, known as the Shopping Line, consists of a five-kilometre pedestrian precinct running on the city’s most emblematic streets. These include the Eixample area around Avenida Diagonal and Paseo de Gracia, home to the most prestigious boutiques.

The most innovative, avant-garde trends can be found in the Gothic quarter and El Born areas. Craftsmen’s workshops, exclusive shops, franchises, shopping centres and street markets are all part of Barcelona’s shopping possibilities. Said this, we can find three main shopping areas in the city: City Centre, Eixample and Diagonal.

As well as in Madrid, visiting the Official FC Barcelona Store is a must.

Costa del Sol

A great number of golf courses can be found within Costa del Sol. One of the most important are Torrequebrada Golf (Benalmádena) or Miraflores Golf Club (Mijas).

However, the jewel in the crown is without a doubt Marbella. This town has comfortably borne witness to the growth of golf tourism and has been able to take advantage of the perfect conditions offered by its unbeatable location and weather, putting them at the service of top quality exclusive golf – or family – tourism.

Think of your perfect golfing conditions and then compare them with those in Marbella: warm, dry and sunny climate; gentle, rolling landscapes with large areas open to the sea and mountains; a wide range of fully equipped courses. About the same, don’t you think? This is why Marbella, located at the heart of the Costa del Sol, is considered by many to be the golfing capital. If this is your sport, then can you think of a better place to play?
