Gaganjeet Bhullar is now a married man, having tied the knot this weekend. On Christmas Eve the family was celebrating the wedding of Gaganjeet in Chandigarh. The Kapurthala boy who trained at the Rail Coach factory golf course in the town, had a few family get-togethers and close friends and relations attended the wedding. The girl Gaganjeet has married, Naureen Sandhu is trained in law and is from the state of Punjab itself. The wedding was a traditional sikh ceremony. Gaganjeet donned a pink a turban and a deep pink stole on a cream traditional kurta. Naureen, also in pink, and Gagan were married at Panchkula Gymkhana.

Parties were planned in Chandigarh following which the family moved to Jalandhar-Kapurthala to celebrate with their local friends. Gagan’s parents Harbhajan Singh and Sarabjit Kaur are both former athletes and he says his game was inspired by the sporting spirit at home. Naureen’s father is a serving Army Colonel, Dapinder Singh Sandhu, posted at Ganganagar, Rajasthan.

Naureen is a law student, and now will travel with Gaganjeet Bhullar on tour

The new couple are already on the move, for Gagan’s next tournament in Pattaya in Thailand. Bhullar plays the $5,00,000 Royal Cup, which is the season-ending tour championship of the Asian Tour, that will be held from December 28 to 31.

After putting his career back on track with a pair of Asian Tour victories in 2016, Gaganjeet emphasized his return to the big league with another fine victory at the Macao Open. It was the eighth Asian Tour victory for Bhullar, the most for any golfer under 30 on that circuit. The 29 year old seems to have picked up a second wind and is working in the USA with Noah Montgomery as he looks to win the Asian Tour Order of Merit.

Gaganjeet recently moved his base to Sacremento in America to improve his game and have more access to different courses.
