June 01, 2015: They are back together and it took some persuasion from the golfer to hire a familiar caddie for a second time. Adam Scott has hired Steve Williams to be his caddie again.

The two had mutually parted ways at the end of the 2013-14 PGA TOUR season in part because the 50-year-old Williams wanted to cut back on his schedule.

After struggling to just two top 10s and a T38 at the Masters, however, Scott decided to part ways with Mike Kerr last week and reunite with Williams, who was on the bag when Scott won his first career major at the 2013 Masters.

“Steve was adamant that he was not going to caddie in 2015, so he took some convincing, but I am very happy he’s agreed to help out,” Scott said. “We’ve had great success together, so I’m looking forward to being on the links with Steve again.”

Scott first hired Williams in the summer of 2011 and flourished with him by his side, reaching No. 1 in the world in May of 2014.

Williams will caddie for Scott in his next four events — the U.S. Open, The Open Championship, World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational and PGA Championship.
