Feb 09, 2018: Aditi Ashok from India will tee off her 2018 season in the ActewAGL Canberra Classic at Royal Canberra Golf Club this week, where she will be looking for her fourth LET title in her third year as a professional, following her last victory at the 2017 Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Open in Abu Dhabi.

Aditi said: “I’ve always started my year in Australia and the first time I played in a professional event as a professional it was in Australia, so it’s good to be back.

“I’ve only played in Adelaide, where the Australian Open happens, and at 13th Beach. This course is very different to both of those and I’m enjoying it so far and the weather has been good.

“I’ve put in a lot of work this off-season, compared to the last couple of years. I’ve worked a lot on my physical side and I’ve practised a lot, so I’m excited to start playing in events and to see how it goes.

“If the weather stays like this, then hopefully (I’ll have a good chance), but everyone has a chance to win every week and I don’t want to get ahead of myself.”

England’s Georgia Hall started her 2018 season as she finished 2017 by leading the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit after a tie for third in the Oates Vic Open. This week, she is determined to maintain her status with another strong performance, at the ActewAGL Canberra Classic, taking place at Royal Canberra Golf Club in the Australian capital.

Hall will be playing alongside last week’s Oates Vic Open winner Minjee Lee and former world number one Ji-Yai Shin, the winner of the Australian Open at Royal Canberra, for the first two rounds, starting from the 10th tee at 8.03am on Friday.

After winning the Pro-Am on Thursday morning, on a course she described as ‘majestic’, Hall was relishing the chance to contend again.
