Aug 2, 2016:  The Hyderabad Golf Club is all set to host its first ever tournament for the Hero Women’s Professional Golf tour. Continuing with her stupendous form, Amandeep Drall will look to win her fourth  title in the 12th Leg of the 2016 tour at the picturesque Hyderabad Golf Club. The INR 6,00,000 event featuring 15 professionals and lone amateur Suchitra Ramesh will commence on 3rd August, 2016.

Amandeep has been in top form for the last couple of legs, and would look to continue her winning ways and annex her fourth win. She is currently placed third in the Hero Order of Merit with total earnings of INR 7,38,534 and would be eager to see her name move up the money list.

Another strong contender for the title is Delhi youngster Vani Kapoor.  Vani has had a superb run this season, winning five titles in seven appearances. However, she wasn’t at her usual best in the last leg as she had just returned from illness, and will look to make a winning comeback to regain the top position in the Hero Order of Merit. She is currently placed second in the money list with total earnings of INR 743350.

Amandeep and Vani, however, will face tough competition from Neha Tripathi, Gursimar Badwal and Saaniya Sharma.

Kolkata’s Neha Tripathi currently leads the Hero Order of Merit with total earnings of INR 7,57,333,  winning two titles in 11 appearances this season. She will look to improve her performance and consolidate her position atop the money list.

Kapurthala’s Gursimar Badwal is placed fourth in the Hero Order of Merit with total earnings of INR 6,54,200 with one victory and one runner-up finish to her name. She will be hoping to put forth another strong display and grab her second win of the season . Hero MotoCorp sponsored Sharmila Nicollet doesn’t have any title in her kitty this season, and will be keen to make an impact at the Hyderabad Golf Club.

Other players in the fray will be Chandigarh’s Saaniya Sharma, The Delhi duo of  Ankita Tiwana,  Meher Atwal and Pune’s Shweta Galande.

The Par 72  golf course set amidst the scenic and historic Golconda Fort, Hyderabad is all set to test the mental and physical calibre of the players.
