October 07, 2016: Amandeep Drall produced a second straight under par round to clinch a massive seven shot victory over rookie golfer Gaurika Bishnoi. Second placed Gaurika scored the only other under par round of the day, shooting two under 70. Vani Kapoor could not add to her collection of six titles, as she slipped into third place with Neha Tripathi, nine shots adrift of the winner.

Amandeep Drall made scores of 74, 68 and 71 in the three rounds at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon for an overall total of three under 213.

On Friday, Amandeep produced three birdies and two bogeys to coast home with ease. This was Amandeep’s fourth victory this season.

She rode her success in Gurgaon to the top of the Hero Order of Merit – climbing past Vani Kapoor into the first place at Rs. 1,061,534 nearly Rs. 40,000 more than the winnings of Vani.

Gaurika played some bold golf in the final round, firing four birdies in her score of 70. She also had two bogeys at the 6th and 15th holes.

Vani opened with a bogey on the first hole and never really got moving on a disappointing day. A double bogey at the 395 yard, par-4 sixth hole hurt her too as she turned in 39 strokes.

On the back nine, Vani did attack the pins a little more but two birdies at the 11th and 17th were negated through bogeys on 15 & 16.

Neha Tripathi, the only other woman besides Amandeep and Gaurika to break par this week posted a 77 in the final round. Neha made a fine 71 on Thursday to give herself a sniff at victory, but was left disappointed by an insipid effort today.

Amateur golfer Diksha Dagar started her run on both sides with a birdie at the first and tenth, but a hat-trick of bogeys and a double at the 17th put paid to her hopes of a higher finish.

Diksha ended the week in 5th place, which is still a huge positive for the young golfer. She made scores of 80, 76 and 74.

Shweta Galande ended the week in sixth place with an overall score of 233. Saaniya Sharma was a further stroke behind in seventh position.

Gursimar Badwal and Afshan Fatima were tied in 8th place with Ankita Tiwana rounding out the top ten with an overall score of 236.
