Arjuna Awardee and former Amateur champion, Amit Luthra of Delhi made a clean sweep by winning both stages of 11th Greater Kashmir Invitational Golf Tournament held at Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC) and Pahalgam Golf Course.

Luthra, who is a known name in the golf arena of India and was awarded prestigious Arjuna Award in 1996, won both stages of the event. (Seen in the picture, he was awarded winner trophy by Editor-in-Chief of Greater Kashmir, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo.)

At RSGC, S M Sahai bagged first runner up trophy while in Pahalgam, Suhail Khanday bagged the same. At RSGC, Ranjit Chowdary bagged second runner up trophy while at Pahalgam, Reyaz Fazili bagged it. At RSGC, closest to pin award was bagged by lady golfer, Poonam Chawla while as in Pahalgam it was bagged by Ishfaq Ahmad.

The longest drive award at RSGC was bagged by Usman Fazili while at Pahalgam it was bagged by Pranav Kohli. Luthra termed the event as “one of the smoothly conducted ones” and said “I would love to come here again to take part in such events.”

“It was great to be part of this event and play golf in a beautiful course like Pahalgam. I would like to be back next year for the same purpose and bring other top golfers of Country here,” he said.
