May 15,2014. Young Anirban Lahiri wouldn’t like to get hooked in golf but he is certainly getting so in life. All set to tie the knot with fiancé and long time girlfriend Ipsa Jamwal, he is excited to have his personal life get on the upswing in keeping with his winning ways on the golf course.

“I’ll be getting married and it is the beginning of my new life. I think it is really an exciting time for me. It helps when your personal life is going well. It puts your mind at ease and it allows you to play your best,” Lahiri shares.

As the countdown to marriage begins, Lahiri has been seeing doing some practise for domestic-hood. One such effort was cooking some delicious dishes to put his grill skill to test. He marinated, tossed and tawa-fried some great fish on the sidelines of a tournament recently. And after when he had proved to himself that his rankings were well placed at this tournament in the kitchen, he went around Cochin (where he was playing those days) testing the ‘meen moilee’ and curry preparations. The young golfer admitted he is a foodie and loves his fish and so nothing could become between the two. Jamwal’s option may only be to master the fish recipes for they say of Bengalis that the key to their heart is through their stomachs.

When asked if his sightseeing and food escapades included some shopping for his to-be wife? Pat came the answer, “No, I don’t want to set a precedent that would get me into trouble in the future.” We hope Ms Jamwal is all ears. After all it’s between those two, where one plays mind games to arrive at the best shots. Whether in life, or in golf.
