Anirban Lahiri is back in action this week, with an opportunity to make amends for the missed cut at the Open Championships at Hoylake. The Indian will tee off on Thursday at the Valhalla Golf Club to launch his campaign at only the third major event of his blossoming career. The 96th PGA Championship, the last major of the season, shall kick off on Thursday with Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia in hot pursuit of each other. A thick cloud hangs around the possibility of Tiger Woods contending this week, but his caddie Joe LaCava is at Valhalla studying the course for his injured boss.

Lahiri is scheduled to tee off at the 10th tee along with Bill Haas and John Senden at 1320hrs local time. The world No. 87 will be among the late starters on the first day, needing to complete his round and pack in as early as possible.

The Indonesian Masters winner has an early start in the second round – his group is scheduled for a 0810hrs start, this time from the first tee. Brian Norman, Russell Knox and Roberto Castro will have the honour of opening the first round at 0730hrs on Thursday.

KJ Choi and Thongchai Jaidee will join Brian Harman at the first tee by 0840hrs to get their first round off the blocks. Ryo Ishikawa is slotted in at 1245hrs alongside Matt Pesta and Rory Sabatini. The 10th tee will see Matt Kuchar, Justin Rose and Louis Oousthuizen get off the blocks just after nine in the morning.

Another exciting group has Jordan Spieth, Adam Scott and Lee Westwood get together at the 10th tee at 0815hrs. The winners of Augusta Masters, US Open and the Open will tee off from the tenth as well at 0835hrs – this group has Bubba Watson, Martin Kaymer and Rory McIlroy.

Tiger Woods is slated for an early start too – teeing off with Padraig Harrington and Phil Mickelson. The trio will start off at 0835hrs. Sergio Garcia, Steve Stricker and Tom Watson are a group that starts at 1325hrs.
