These past few years I have been focusing on the fundamentals and getting myself back on track.

I have met Nick Faldo a couple of times but I was really fortunate to really learn golf techniques and skills this time. The international junior golfer academy (IJGA) has given its students many opportunities to learn from global icons and not only their everyday coaches. Every now and then there is that stellar opportunity to meet and learn from established ‘bigtime’ pros. I’m glad that they gave us an opportunity to have a clinic with the legend Sir Nick Faldo. He gave us a two and a half hour golfing lesson on the swing as well as short game.

No surprises here that we were a bit enamored but his knowledge and understanding of golf is so mature and meaningful, that some of us were left in disbelief. Sir Nick Faldo wasn’t protective about his technique and shared his secrets, which I admired given how successful his journey has been. For me this opportunity was another milestones as my aim is to make sure I learn something every such session. Because you can only grow as a golfer by learning from your experiences. I will be going to college this coming fall and I look forward to bringing laurels for the team. Aside of that I will also be participating in many amateur tournaments around the world and hope to put in what I have learned and grow as a golfer and a person.

My golf career is set for its next phase. These past few years I have been focusing on the fundamentals and getting myself back on track. I have a had a few health related setbacks which is why my game has been rather inconsistent. I look forward to honing my skills and reaching new heights as a player.
