February 4, 2014: WhenTiger Woods was busy at his exhibition match at Delhi Golf Club in India, wonder what his girl friend LindseyVonn was doing. Well, she was busy talking Valentine’s plans, which is right around the corner.
“I’ve been so focused on my surgery, I’m only two and half weeks out so…” Vonn told E! News Friday night at ESPN’s Super Bowl bash in New York City, explaining why she and boyfriend Tiger Wood’s don’t have plans for Feb. 14 yet.
Vonn, 29, was forced to skip the Winter Olympics, kicking off this week in Sochi, Russia, after suffering a right-knee injury that required surgery. The operation was deemed successful, but she’s out of competition for a while.
“He’s competing and I’m rehabbing, so Valentine’s Day isn’t number-one on our priority list—but I’m sure we’ll do something fun,” the champion skier said.
Even though Woods has set his plans to fly back to his kids after his maiden visit to India, Vonn says that it’s possible Woods will surprise her.
“He’s a teddy bear,” she said of her golf-star sweetheart.
Vonn will be serving as an Olympics correspondent at Today for Sochi Olympics.
The celeb skier explains why she’s dreading her appearance on “Today” for the upcoming games. Plus, Tiger Woods’ GF gives an update on her recovering knee.
“I’ve always loved working, doing interviews with the guys on the Today show, everyone’s really easygoing and I always feel comfortable on the show,” Vonn explained, “but I’m really not looking forward to waking up really early.
“I’m not a morning person, so if I seem like I’m a little sleepy, it’s probably because I am!”
In addition to reporting daily from the U.S. for Today, she will also be contributing to NBC Sports’ Olympics coverage. In between she would certainly wait for some surprises from her golfer beau.
