February 4, 2014: Tiger Woods’s date with India has ended on a positive note, and the golfer hopes that his visit will boost the sport of golf in India. He appeared to be as much charmed by Indian hospitality as his Indian fans and golf enthusiasts are by his maiden presence.

 

Golfer tweeted that he hopes that his visit will help golf in India.

Golf legend also showered his gratitude to Hero Motocorp CEO, Pavan Munjal for his hospitality. Along with his tweet Tiger posted an Instagram picture of him with the businessman host Munjal.

 

“Thanks to Mr. Munjal for the wonderful hospitality and for making my first visit to India so memorable. I learned a lot about this fantastic country.” Woods tweeted on micro blogging site Twitter.

 

After his mini match at DGC,  Speaking to select media person, Woods shared his experience of being in India.

 

“Thanks so much for the time, it was an absolute blast. It is hard to say how much fun I had today. It was a narrow golf course and I was nervous with my tee shot. My best buddy Arjun (Atwal) told me so much about India and I am happy to be here. Thank You so much,” Woods told reporters.
