What’s In Your Bag Shubham Jaglan?

Here are a few interesting facts about the secrets in his golf bag.

1. What is the most prized possession in your golf bag?

It is definitely my putter. I have had my putter not for a long time but it has done wonders for me. I’ve always used a pond putter since I started playing golf seriously and basically came along with ping. I mean that’s what you need to win stuff isn’t it?

2. What are the must have things in the bag before you start your round?

Well I always need a lot of liquid with me before starting, I don’t keep solids with me while playing. I always need a few gloves and I keep changing with my gloves on each shot which is quite weird.

3. Do you remember your first golf bag?

Yes, it was a US KIDS golf kit which my dad and me bought together.

4. What are the clubs that you carry in your bag?

I carry 14 clubs, all by Ping. A Ping G driver 9 degrees , a 5 wood 18 degrees, a 7 wood 22 degrees and a rescue 27 degrees, all G30’s. I have the S55 irons from 5-PW. I have 3 wedges 50, 54 and 58 degrees, all Ping glide. I use a Cadence brown insert putter with a cadence blue grip. I have a GolfPride Tour Wrap grip on all my clubs and finally I use ProV1x’s.

5. How do you mark your ball before each round?

Well, this is quite different and special for me. My mom doesn’t travel with me overseas and because I miss her, I keep her with me through my golf ball. I write ??? on my golf ball with a smile on the other side. I have always done this and I always feel like that I have my mom’s blessings with me all the time and I think that that is what helps me under pressure.

6. Do you have a special bond with your bag? Any particular sentiments associated with it?

I keep my golf clubs in it, so it is definitely important. It is funny that all the bags I got from ping, all my clubs would not fit because they were so small and go inside the golf bag. Another thing was that in my car, my clubs would never fit cause I had a Maruti 800 and now it doesn’t fit because my clubs are too long and I have to keep a few again on the front seat so my front seat has a pretty good bong with my golf clubs and so do I. I love my golf bag cause it’s light which is easier to carry around.

7. Can you recollect a funny anecdote about your bag, while traveling or playing?

It is not that funny but it was quite disgusting. I traveled back from a tournament and when I saw my putter, the putter had bent and had been shut down and I had to use that one for about 2 months.
