June 1, 2015. Golf legend Gary Player is in love with India, its food, its history and heritage and has a karmic link with Mahatma Gandhi. Player’s own humble beginnings at a time Gandhi was making headlines against untouchability in South Africa have cast an impression for life. Player often visits India to shape his upcoming golf course at the DLF Country Club but most dear to him in these visits is the time spent training and counselling some of the young juniors taking to this game. That to Player is the sign of rising golf in India.
