October 11, 2014: You may never quite see the great white shark swinging a golf club again. Greg Norman appeared on Fox Business Network and discussed his recovery, having hurt his arm in a chainsaw accident this September. Norman explained that even though he may have healed on the surface, the arm still remains numb and needs plenty of rehabilitation to build muscle and mass before he can decide if he can play again.

Norman had cut his own left hand, around the wrist – “just below where a person might wear a wrist watch,” missing his artery by just a little. He hurt himself while trimming trees at his home in South Florida. As it is, Norman does not get to the tee too much given his varied interests in course design, wineries and clothing around the globe through his company, Great White Shark Enterprises.

“Well we don’t know yet, we don’t know,” Norman revealed on the show. “I had my first swing in the gym the other day, not hitting a golf ball but just swinging a light weighted golf club and it definitely feels different. I mean I have to build up a lot of the muscle that was torn away here. Chainsaw does a good job, when you chainsaw a log you see all those chips come out, a little bit of flesh in there too.”

“I’m a Mr. Do It man,” he added, speaking of his enthusiasm for life. “I like to get in there and do everything. If I can do it myself I’m going to do it. I love being a living brand.” admitted Norman. “I love growing it, I love seeing opportunities out there and the global market place is just extraordinary right now.”

The golf world, much of which is reverent of everything that Norman means to the sport, can only offer their collective wishes as they wait for the Shark to recover use of his hand.
