The TAKE Solutions India Golf Awards 2016 announced a panel of seven eminent personalities to play jury and select the winners of the prestigious awards. Ishwar Achanta, Ankur Bisen, Kavita Singh, HR Srinivasan, Amandeep Johl, Ashish Bharatram, and Shaili Chopra will deliberate long and hard before determining the various winners for the past season.
Ishwar is an IGU council member and a long time golf enthusiast and an international referee, having officiated at the St Andrews for the Open in 2015. Ankur Bisen is a noted retail and consumer products advisor, now CEO with Technopak with avid curiosity in the game of golf. Kavita Singh is the President of Women’s Golf Association of India and has also served the Board of Directors of the Ladies European Tour.
HR Srinivasan is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TAKE Solutions and one of the most ardent supporters of golf in India. Amandeep Johl has been a professional golfer on the Asian Tour and is a certified level two coach.
Ashish is an industrialist, credited with turning SRF into a global brand to reckon with, a star corporate golfer and a long time contributor to the Delhi Golf Club.
Shaili Chopra is the founder of Golfing Indian and the woman who conceived these awards to recognize golfers in India annually.
With a panel that is as eminent as that, one can clearly expect an intense series of debates and deliberations as they try and narrow down their choice for the winners this year.
Anirban Lahiri, Chikkarangappa and Vani Kapoor will be the obvious favourites, given their stupendous performances last year, but one shouldn’t rule out the dark horses in the field. But there is plenty more at stake too among the amateurs and the awards that are given out to recognize corporate leaders.
