Various organizations working towards the development of golf in India have come together under the umbrella of India Golf Expo 2015 (IGE 2015).

The IGE is organized and promoted by the Indian Golf Industry Association (IGIA) with the objective of increasing access and awareness on the game and to augment infrastructure for the sport.

Several bodies related to the sport -the Indian Golf Union (IGU), IGIA, Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), National Golf Academy of India (NGAI) and Indian Golf Tourism Association (IGTA) will congregate at the expo with a view to chalk out an agenda for the growth of the game.

These bodies are being supported by industry bodies like CREDAI, FICCI and the Ministry of Tourism.

In another first of its kind, around 50 golf coaches will assemble at the expo as part the NGAI Teaching Summit along with international experts who will share their knowledge and training methods to help raise the standard of golf coaching in India.

Some of the well known coaches who will attend the meet are Vijay Divecha, Jesse Grewal, Indrajit Bhalotia, Nonita Lall Qureshi, Amandeep Singh Johl and Romit Bose.

They will interact with celebrated international coaches like Michael Hebron, Donato Di Ponziano and Alex Riggs. The Expo also features a specialized Turf Care Seminar organized by the Indian Golf Union (IGU) and conducted by the world’s leading turf grass expert, Dr. Micah Woods.
