Ever since she turned pro (2009), Neha Tripathi has shown consistent progress in her golfing aptitude to finish top ranked woman golfer in 2013. Kolkata golfer, who has relocated to Delhi recently intends to be a role model to upcoming golfers. Neha speaks about her golf at this stage and beyond, in a chat with Rajlakshmi Retesh of golfingindian.com.

 

 

[Q] You were amongst the best in 2013. However, 2014 has been different as you didn’t deliver as many wins or great finishes, what do you think are the reasons for it? [/Q]

 

[A] I think 2014 started on a note where there was a lot of self-imposed pressure, especially after topping the 2013 Order of Merit of Women’s Professional Golf Tour. In the process, I lost my composure in trying to be better than everyone is, and eventually my focus shifted from going out there to play and simply doing my best to vehemently trying to do my best at every shot. I played only to win everything, which practically did not work too well for me.
