May 11, 2014: The 20-year-old Jordon Spieth is all set to break Adam Scott’s 2004 record as youngest Players Champion by almost three years, if he continues his  steady pace into the finals. After three rounds at TPC Sawgrass, Jordan Spieth is tied for the lead with former world No.1 and two-round leader, Martin Kaymer into the final day of the Players Championship 2014.

Martin Kaymer shot a 72 to stay at 12 under par through 54 holes. A bogey on 18 left him tied with 20-year-old Spieth, who posted his third straight bogey-free day to put up a one-under 71.

Lying on the third position with three shots gap, are Sergio Garcia and John Senden, who are tied at nine under par.

Spieth remained one shot behind for most of the day, however he managed to tie for top position with Kaymer, who made two birdies against two bogeys.

After barely making halfway cut, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott both laid down solid performances to enter Sunday’s final at three under par.

The highlight of final day would be to see whether former World No. 1 Kaymer can win his first tournament since the 2010 PGA Championship, or if young Spieth can continue his meteoric rise to golfing heights.
