May 21, 2017: Lexi Thompson takes a three-shot advantage into the final round of the Kingsmill Championship Presented by JTBC. Thompson leads In Gee Chun by three after shooting 2-under 69 in the third round on the River Course at the Kingsmill Resort.

“I feel good. I played very well today,” said Thompson. “Pretty solid, just was all over the lips today on the greens. But I put some good strokes on a lot of my putts, so that’s all that matters. Hopefully, bring that into tomorrow.”

Thompson is looking to step inside the winner’s circle for the first time in 2017; her last win came in 2016 at the Honda LPGA Thailand. Thompson will have the same mindset as the last three days.

“All I’m focusing on is my own game and sticking to my routine and committing to my lines off the tees and just having fun with my caddie in between shots,” said Thompson.

Another solid day for Chun, who carded a 4-under, 67, to sit three shots off the lead, but she said she feels her swing has been off this week.

“I had great round today. This week my swing doesn’t feel good, so I try to stay humble in myself,” said Chun. “So I think I made great rounds.  I try to stay in the middle of the green today. It made a lot of birdie chance. So I made great up and downs on 11 and 14, 15 maybe.”

World No. 1 Lydia Ko, Sei Young Kim and Minjee Lee sit five back of Thompson at 9-under par.

Kim said she’s happy with her round and plans on having a good dinner and getting some rest to prepare for the final round.

“I’m very happy to play well. Yesterday and the first-round I want good my putter and then wasn’t a good shot,” said Kim. “But I needed to the improve the shot and then putting, and then after the round I practice not much, just a little bit, and then I play well today, yeah.”
