Dev Chandigarh was leading the team standings at 8-under after the first round, a three shot lead over defending champions Navratna Ahmedabad.

Four golfers made 70 – SSP Chawrasia, Shamim Khan, Mukesh Kumar and Shankar Das are all tied in third position. Abhijit Chaddha lead a group of six golfers at 71 to round out the dozen men that broke par in the first round.

The group at T7 included Chaddha, Chikkarangappa, Khalin Joshi, Sujjan Singh, Chiragh Kumar and M Dharma.

Udayan Mane, Ashok Kumar and Anura Rohana made par. Only fifteen golfers made par or better on a course made challenging by the organisers through intelligent use of the greens.

Rahil Gangjee and Gaganjeet Bhullar had a disappointing day, scoring two over 74 to start their respective Louis Philippe campaigns.
