Teams ready for battle at LP League

February 17, 2014: The third edition of Louis Philippe cup, where top ranked professionals from 9 cities will lock horns for highest honors and the prize money of Rs. 1.20 crore will be played at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club from February 19-22, Mumbai, is endorsed and sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI).

 

The Louis Philippe Cup is India’s richest domestic golf tournament where golfers will battle it out in a stroke play format. This is an innovative format in professional golf and could potentially be a game changer in the way fans relate to India’s top golf stars. Professionals would earlier play individually and this tournament now provides an opportunity for them to play in city based teams.

 

All the nine teams are set to give tough challenge to each other. Shubhkamna Delhi will be represented by perfect mix of experience and youth.  India’s pioneer Jeev Milkha Singh will play along, Rashid Khan and Shamim Khan as team mates .

 

Krrish Colombo has Asian Tour’s Himmat Rai and PGTI top golfers K Prabagaran and N Thangaraja for challege.

 

Dev Ellora Laqshya Mumbai will be represented by seasoned Jyoti Randhawa, Harendra Gupta and  Md. Zamal Hossain Mollah.

 

AVT Kolkata  will be represented by Rahil Gangjee, Shankar Das and Chiragh Kumar.

 

Jaypee Greens Greater Noida will have  one of the  country’s top golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar team with Sanjay Kumar and Angad Cheema.

 

DLF Gurgaon will enter challenge through Md. Siddikur of Bangladesh, who teams up with youngsters Abhinav Lohan and Abhijit Singh Chadha

 

TAKE Chennai team headed by  SSP Chowrasia will also have Mukesh Kumar and Manav Jaini.

 

Puravankara Bangalore will be top challenger with India’s top golfer in Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) Anirban Lahiri in lead with S. Chikkarangappa, M Dharma as team mates.

 

Navratna Ahmedabad  will seek  victory through Mithun Perera of Srilanka with Vinod Kumar and  Vikrant Chopra as a team.
