June 01, 2014. Jeev Milkha Singh finished 2 over 289, where he was tied with Mathew Baldwin and Gregory Havret. In comparison to his previous rounds in the tournament , Jeev carded 5 birdies and 3 bogies but two double bogeys brought it down for him. Shiv Kapur scored at par 288. Shiv performed quite well in the second and third round but in the fourth round he could not sustain his commendable performance. With 3 bogies and 3 birdies he closed at a par, 72.

Thongchai Jaidee overcame Victor Dubuisson and Stephen Gallacher in a play-off to seal a dramatic victory at the Nordea Masters.

The Thai carded a closing 65 at PGA Sweden National, where a host of players – including World Number Two Henrik Stenson – saw their chances of victory come and go.

Having set the clubhouse mark at 16 under par, Jaidee then had to wait as the last four groups made their way down the par five last – with only Dubuisson and Gallacher able to reach his score.

On the first trip back down the 18th, Jaidee spun his third shot to three feet and, after seeing Dubuisson and Gallacher miss lengthy birdie putts, converted to seal a sixth European Tour title.

“I worked hard today,” said Jaidee. “I started with three birdies in a row, had another one on six, then a good comeback on 11 [where he made an eagle three].

The Nordea Masters has been a gripping tournament with players giving each other stiff competition. Shiv Kapurs triple bogey made for a painful loss when he dropped to being tied at number 53 straight from being tied at number 43. Singh moved up as Kapur fell in the ranks. It will be interesting to see how Shiv makes a comeback in the US Open. Despite the challenges, the tournament continued to be scintillating as viewers saw Stenson moving ahead on his home soil. It has indeed been an emotional victory for the Swedish golfer.
