Feb 09, 2018: Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen was the standout player in the morning session, carding a five-under-par 67 in round two of the ongoing ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth.

The four-time European Tour winner carded six birdies against a lone bogey for a seven-under-par 137 total. He had to contend with strong winds at Lake Karrinyup Country Club and he reckons that it will be more difficult for the players in the afternoon flights

“It was quite breezy this morning.  Most definitely, in the last hour or so, it picked up a lot. So with that in mind, I’m very happy with my score,” said Olesen.

Lucas Herbert of Australia continued his good form in round two and shot a 69. He started from the 10th hole very well with three consecutive birdies, but got into trouble later on at holes three and six, where he scored bogey and double bogey respectively.

2013 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion Kiradech Aphibarnrat had a round of two halves. Starting at the 10th tee, he had a flawless first nine where he carded three birdies. Over at the back nine, he made four consecutive bogeys from holes three to six. He ended the round with a 72.

Pavit Tangkamolprasert stole the limelight this morning by scoring an ace at the par-three 17th. He teed off using a seven-iron from 204 yards. It was his first ever hole-in-one in his life.
