June 11, 2017: Saaniya Sharma showed her consistency in the third and final round of Hong Kong Ladies Open by scoring flawless three-under-par 69 to tie at T31 leading the Indian team.
Saaniya started brightly with a birdie in the first hole and closed flawless front nine. Continuing the same pace she made another gain at the 11th and finished her final round with a closing birdie in the last and 18th hole.
Vani Kapoor tied at T43 after scoring four-over-par 76. Sharmila Nicollet and Neha Tripathi finished at T46 after scoring two-over-par 72 and three-over-par 73 respectively.
Amandeep scored seven-over-par 79 in the final round to finish at 52.
Amandeep and Saaniya made solid comebacks in the second round with five-under-par 67 and four-under-par 68 respectively strengthening their final efforts. Saaniya picked two fantastic eagles as well during the second round.
Amandeep currently tops India’s Hero Order of Merit and has been in form. In an earlier interview to Golfing Indian, she said she wanted to perform better on global tours.
Amandeep, Vani, and Neha qualified this year to play the Ladies European Tour.
