August 07, 2016: Shubham Jaglan has won the US Kids Golf World Championship 2016. The 11 year old from Haryana was standing head and shoulders above the field in Pinehurst as he marched away to a commanding eleven shot victory on Saturday. Jaglan scored 67-63-68 in the three rounds to accomplish yet another trophy is bulging cabinet of honours.

Jaglan began with an eight shot advantage over Jay Brooks and kept his foot on the pedal in the final round. He produced four birdies – one on the front nine and three on the final stretch – to coast home to a glorious victory.

Overall Shubham struck eighteen birdies, an eagle and two bogeys at the Mid South Club in a dominant performance that underlined his promise for the future, yet again.

Shubham overpowered two Americans in the tournament, Brooks and Justin Sui with an overall score of 198. He was eleven ahead of the two Americans who finished at 209.

Jeevan Sihota won the Boys-12 category scoring nine under 207. Sihan Sandhu, 193, won the Boys-10 category, winning by seven shots over Yoyo Xia.

In the Girls-9 category, Avani Prashanth (34-37-39) scored two over 110 in their nine hole, three round competition to finish in a tie for fifth position. She was just three shots behind the winner Megan Meng, who won a playoff over Yana Wilson.

Avani was leading the field at the end of the first round and remained in a tie for it with Chloe Kovelesky and Megan. But she gave the course three shots in the final round to slip down the order.

In the Girls-12 category, Anushka Borkar (74-69-76) finished the week in T4, four strokes behind the winner Karoline Tuttle. In fact Anushka was tied in the lead with Karoline at the end of two rounds, but a 76 in the third round dropped her three spots in the final results.
