The par-3 contest at the Masters is a tradition steeped in camaraderie and indulgence. Players bring out their families with friends, spouses or girl friends carrying the bag for the players. Augusta National Golf Club has a perfect little par-3 course right behind the clubhouse, with holes designed on the rolling banks of a lake. Patrons line the course expecting to watch the players produce some tricks, most importantly the hole in one. But what happened on Wednesday was more than any golf spectator could have bargained for. The feature group consisting of Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas brought the house down at No. 4 with back to back aces.
Justin Thomas teed off, landing the ball perfectly in line with the pin and watched in glee as the ball rolled in to an uproar from the spectators. Even before the noise died down completely, Fowler landed his tee shot almost in the same spot before it too rolled into the pin for a second hole in one on the same hole.
A birdie never looked so inadequate, but that is exactly what Spieth may have felt after managing a two on the fourth. Here are the two Masters videos of Thomas and Fowler making back to back aces.

The celebrations that followed and the fact that Fowler took to Snapchat straight after picking up the ball from the cup, underlined the festive spirit that accompanies this sweet tradition at The Masters.
