December 7, 2014: Padraig Harrington made his debut at the Damai Indah Golf in Jakarta memorable with a two shot victory over Thanyakon Khrongpha to take the Indonesia Open title. Much was expected from the Indian contingent this week, but Jyoti Randhawa was the only one who could complete a top 10 finish. Randhawa shot a confident 66 in the final round to leap 17 spots and finish in T7 with an overall score of 8-under 276.

In his first tournament since suffering an injury, defending champion Gaganjeet Bhullar failed to make an impression even failing to get through to the weekend. Anirban Lahiri, seeking to overtake David Lipsky in the Order of Merit list finished nine spots behind the American to concede further ground in the race. Lahiri, sixth overnight, slipped to T15 after a 72 in the final round.

SSP Chowrasia also shot a 72 to finish T19 with an overall score of 5-under 279. Chowrasia suffered three bogeys on the front nine, needing 37 shots to make the turn. He did make a birdie to end his tournament, but that was only enough for a one over score of 72 and tied 19th for the week.

Lahiri was set to finish along side his chief rival Lipsky, but a triple bogey seven at the final hole proved to be an expensive error for the Indian golfer. At 6-under 278, Lahiri was ten shots behind Harrington and just those three shots behind Lipsky. Lahiri made four birdies and two other bogeys in his final round.

Randhawa made five birides in a nine hole stretch from the 8th to make a forceful finish and get inside the top 10. Jyoti needed just 33 shots on either side of his run for a fluent 66 that put him in a five way group where he had Scott Hend and Jake Higginbottom for company among others.

After matching birdies at the 17th hole, both Khrongpha and Harrington were tied at 16-under, with a playoff looming to decide the winner. But the Thai golfer blinked at the end, making a double bogey at the final hole to hand Harrington victory.
