July 8, 2017: Usha International, one of India’s leading consumer durables company, is the first company to promote Ultimate in India. Taking forward this strong commitment, Usha has announced the ‘Usha Bangalore Ultimate Open 2017’ in association with UPAI (Ultimate Players Association of India) starting July 7, 2017. This is the fifth year in a row that the company will be been supporting this tournament. Top UPAI teams including Airborne, Flywild, Jumbish, Stall 7 and Spinergy among others would be battling it out for top honours of the tournament.
Usha Bangalore Ultimate Open is a three-day tournament slated between July 7 & 9, 2017 and will take place at Jain International Residential School, Bangalore. A total of 37 teams from 10 cities, spanning age groups 9 to 50 years, from across the country will be participating in the tournament. Usha BUO 2017 will witness participation from top players from Canada, Singapore and India including players who recently represented India in the World Championships of Beach Ultimate 2017 in Royan, France and secured 5th position out of 32 teams in the world.

Ultimate has been gaining huge popularity in India and all over the world. In addition to World Championships of Beach Ultimate 2017 (WCBU), India sent 4 teams to compete at the World’s Ultimate and Guts Championship (WUGC) 2016 in different categories – Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Mixed and Masters.
