September 06, 2014: It is promising to turn into a fantastic weekend for Vani Kapoor, who is lying third after two rounds at the Mineks & Regnum Ladies Classic. Kapoor shot a one under 72 to leap into a tie for third with Sanna Nuutinen and Lina Boqvist. Caroline Rominger made a 72 to lead by one at 3-under 143. Kapoor, was inside the top ten having scored 75 in the first round, but an under par effort on Saturday saw her jump straight into contention at 1-over 147, four shots off the pace.

Kapoor made three birdies and two bogeys in a steady round on Saturday to mix it up with the leading group of golfers at the National Golf Club in Turkey. Vani was two under through the first four holes, but was reduced to even par by the end of the front nine. The course extracted a couple of shots from the golfer at the 7th and 9th holes.

Vani recovered to make a birdie at the par-4 tenth, before settling into a steady rhythm that saw her make eight straight pars to complete her work for the day. The Let Access Series is the official development tour that graduates golfers to the Ladies European Tour.  Kapoor is lying three shots behind Emma Westin who was at 2-under after making 71 in the second round.

Westin caught fire late in her round – producing three birdies in the final seven holes to launch herself right behind the leader, Romingen. The Swiss lady was held down by bogeys at the par-4 6th and 17th holes, but she made three birdies to produce an under par round for the second straight day and take control of the lead.

Overnight leader Melanie Maetzler slipped to an 80 in the second round to fall to 11th at five over 151. The best round of the day came from the bag of Nuutinen, who strung together five birdies and a bogey to sign off with an elegant 69 to join Vani and Lina in third.
