At 45, Jeev Milkha Singh is the statesman of Indian golf. The great golfer has done more for Indian golf globally than can be captured in a brief feature. It isn’t an exaggeration to say that Jeev gifted Indian golfers’ aspiration for excelling on the international stage. In the company of Arjun Atwal and Jyoti Randhawa, they have carried the game global as far as India is concerned.

FOCUS ON THE FUTURE
When we met Jeev at the Eurasia Cup early in 2016, he spoke of his joy at leading the Asian team. But more importantly, he also stated his desire to revive his flagging fortunes and have one more go at playing the winning game.

Jeev plans to take a couple of weeks off with his family before starting the new year in Singapore

True to his word, Jeev worked immensely hard to rejig his game and contend with the younger lot.
The spirit of revival was best exemplified when he traded shot for shot with Gaganjeet Bhullar before conceding over the final few holes of the Indonesian Open.

A tied second was Jeev’s best result since winning the Scottish Open in 2012. The effort underlined his resurgence, serving to offer the genial master a scent of success.

The 45 year old is currently ranked 651 in the world, but a couple of good results like the one in Indonesia should see him rise up the sheet next season.

Jeev plans to take a couple of weeks off with his family before starting the new year in Singapore. He will also play in Myanmar, Dubai, Malaysia and Australia before heading back home for the Hero Indian Open.
