Dec 14, 2016: Korea’s Jeunghun Wang enjoyed a rare double when he was named as the Hilton Asian Tour Golfer of the Month for November.
Having been previously named as the fans’ choice in May, the Korean underlined his status as one of the region’s rising stars with another spectacular performance in November.
He finished second behind Alex Noren at the Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player, and tied 17th alongside Ross Fisher at the European Tour season-ending DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.
Wang also claimed the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year title following a remarkable season in Europe.
He had earlier set a host of records in May with back-to-back wins at the Trophée Hassan II and AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
“It has been a fantastic year for me and this award from Hilton again makes it even more special. I’m already looking forward to 2017 and cannot wait to tee up and compete for more honours again,” said Wang.
