COUNTDOWN BEGINS

India is all set for the Take Solutions INDIA GOLF AWARDS powered by www.golfingindian.com and supported by most of India’s top golf patrons on Febraury 16th in the national capital. The INDIA GOLF AWARDS are a first and unique initiative because they recognise and award golfers not just from the professional categories but also from the golfing business community, they recognise celebrities and bureaucrats who play the game and reaches out to the industry with special prizes for women, juniors, best golf courses, academies and even real estate around golf courses.

Arjun Atwal with his recent big win at the Dubai Open and of course India’s highest ranked golfer in Anirban Lahiri will all be present to mark the second edition of the Take Solutions INDIA GOLF AWARDS. Shiv Kapur, our very own gold medalist in the 2002 Asian games who donned top headlines at the US Open in 2014 and plays in the Asian tour and at the European tour, will be a part of this grand event.

ARNOLD PALMER MESSAGE

Ahead of this majestic award ceremony, Golf legend Arnold Palmer hailed the efforts of Indian golf and said “I believe we need to make golf as simple as we can for the international golfers. And of course a lot of the Indian people travel all over the world and learn to play golf in other international cities whether in Europe or America and that is very important. I believe new talent will grow and come from countries like India. We must promote the sport there.” Palmer has recently opened an India office to promote his brand here. Gary Player who led the Jury for the event in the first edition said he was elated to see recognition for golfers. “Thank you for helping a game I love so much and has done so much for me. I have been a professional golfer for 60 yrs, winning so many tournaments. There is no other sport like golf.”

Power Minister Shri Piyush Goyal is the chief guest for the evening and also in attendance will be the big names from Indian golf such as European Tour’s International Policy In-charge Ben Cowen, John Boyne from St Andrew’s Professional Caddie Association, top players led by Arjun Atwal, Anirban Lahiri and Shiv Kapur along with special guests of honour and top CEOs.

In a star studded ceremony held for the first time in India, The Take Solutions India Golf Awards made its debut in recognizing the leading names of Indian proferssional golf and corporate champions of the game. The India Golf Awards powered by www.golfingindian.com and created by leading golfing journalist Shaili Chopra recognized over 30 special winners across categories who were chosen by a special jury led by none other than the legendary GARY PLAYER. The chief guests for the evening were Chief Minister Bhupinder S Hooda of Haryana (a state in north India which has courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus) and Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission Montek Ahluwalia.
