Sept 13, 2014. Anirban Lahiri is among the key threats for leader Miguel Tabuena at the Yeangder Championship during the third round. Lahiri picked birdies for most part of front nine to top the round with a 68, bringing his three day score to nine under par 207, one shot behind the leader. Tied with him is Thaword Wiratchant on the second spot.

A tired Lahiri struggled in the closing stages after feeling the effects of jetlag. He posted six birdies and one bogey after 13 holes but lost momentum when he bogeyed hole 16.

“I came in on Tuesday afternoon from the Switzerland so I had trouble sleeping. I probably had 15 hours of sleep in four days. I felt the heat on the back nine today and felt a bit low on energy. I’m going to go back, rest up and come stronger tomorrow,” said the Indian.

Among other Indians Rahil Gangjee is T13 with a four under 212 while Rashid Khan wrapped up Saturday T16 with three under 213. It was hard luck for veteran Jyoti Randhawa whose bogey-infested round set him back to one over par 217.

Sweden born Indian Daniel Chopra also remained in the leader mix with an eight under 208, tied fourth. The final round promises to be exciting for Lahiri who started day one being nearly at the bottom of the pack and consistently displayed talent and strategy by surging to the mix.
