In what has been among his most spectacular performances, Khalin Joshi reviews his game at the Bangladesh Open where he nearly clinched the title if it were not for his putter. The young boy from Bangalore is among the most sought after golfers today and remains an important ambassador of India’s growing golf. Joshi shares his thoughts with AsianTour.com

I missed a few small putts and Mardan missed a few as well. I think the turning point was on the 14th hole when I saw him miss a birdie putt. I had a close range birdie as well but I missed it. If I had sunk that, I could have put more pressure on him.

Mardan got the better out of everybody. He played really well from tee to green. He is the rightful champion.

I’m disappointed with my result but not my game. To be honest, I expected to win. My putter let me down the whole week. If I putted better, I could have won this tournament. Overall I’m happy.

I don’t have an Asian Tour card yet so hopefully this result will give me a boost on the Order of Merit. This result gets me into the next Asian Tour event so I hope to do well there as well.

This is a huge confidence booster for me. Hopefully I will get an Asian Tour win under my belt. This is my first runner-up finish on the Asian Tour. I’m working on my game and I’m seeing result. I like how I’m progressing.

Khalin enjoyed his best result on the Asian Tour when he registered a tied 11th placing at the 2013 SAIL-SBI Open on home soil. He was in contention after three rounds but faded on the last day.
