Ballantine’s and Golftripz announced the start of its fourth amateur international tournament for club golfers, the Ballantine’s Team-Am Golf Challenge.

Leading Indian golfer Shiv Kapur will inaugurate the Oct 15-19 event here Friday which will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam. The series will bring together 120 amateur golfers to compete in a team format. The series is the largest international competition to be organised for Indian club golfers.

Spread over four days, golfers at the Ballantine’s Team-Am Challenge will play three rounds in teams of four competing against the other. Thirty teams will gather to play in three golf courses in Hanoi — King’s Island, Phoenix Golf Resort and Tam Dao Golf.

The fourth edition of the tournament will give Indian golfers foreign exposure. Previous events were held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in October 2012, in Kuala Lumpur in February 2012, and in Hua Hin, Thailand, in October 2011.

Director and founder of Golftripz Madhav Misra said: “We are very excited to see such a strong participation in the upcoming Ballantine’s Team-Am Golf Challenge in a destination such as Hanoi after having established the concept of a golf tournament holiday over the last three editions.”
