December 22, 2013: The top two on the Indian Golf Union (IGU) Ladies Amateur Golf Tour Order of Merit list, Delhi’s Gurbani Singh and Bangalore’s Aditi Ashok sailed through to the match play finals of the USHA All India Ladies Amateur Golf Championship 2013, after accounting for their respective semi-final opponents at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC) course. Gurbani defeated Ridhima Dilawari who had denied Gauri Monga a place in the semis, while Aditi got the better of Astha Madan to setup a much anticipated summit clash between the top two lady golfers of the season.
Gurbani and Aditi had also finished one-two in the stroke play format of the event which preceded the match play rounds, to round off a great week of golf for themselves.
The finals to be held on Monday will witness the presence of badminton star and USHA brand ambassador Saina Nehwal as well as Mr. Siddharth Shriram, Co-chairman USHA International.
